George Kahumoku

Ka'anapali has placed special emphasis on continuing to embrace and share the Hawaiian culture with its visitors. One way that Hawaii's unique culture is expressed is through music.  George Kahumoku, Jr. composed and performed the song available on the home page of this web site and is internationally known for his musical talents. In particular, he is considered a master of the Hawaiian slack-key guitar, a style of playing the acoustic guitar that originated and has been perfected in Hawaii. We invite you to experience George's song, written just for Ka'anapali as a way to share the spirit of the area with others.
